Nightguards

Dental nightguards are bespoke mouthpieces worn while sleeping to protect your teeth and jaw from damage.

Dental nightguards can provide relief for:

  • Teeth grinding (bruxism) at night can wear down enamel, cause tooth sensitivity and pain, cracked or broken teeth and can contribute to headaches and jaw disorders
  • TMJ (temporomandibular joint) disorders such as jaw pain and stiffness, clicking or popping sounds and tension headaches

Benefits

A nightguard acts as a protective barrier between your upper and lower teeth, absorbing the pressure and preventing direct tooth-to-tooth contact.

Prevents tooth damage and enamel wear by creating a cushion that absorbs the force of grinding or clenching.

Relieves tension in the jaw by helping keep it in a more relaxed position thereby reducing jaw soreness, facial muscle fatigue, pain when chewing or yawning

May reduce morning headaches as nightguards can help reduce the frequency and intensity by minimizing jaw strain during sleep.

Reduces clicking or popping sounds (TMJ relief) by helping to align the bite and relax the jaw joint, which can reduce or eliminate these symptoms over time.

May help improve sleep quality by reducing clenching and grinding helping some people sleep more soundly and less pain and tension in the morning can lead to feeling more rested.
