Tooth Whitening can help improve:

What is involved in Tooth Whitening?
Tooth Whitening is a simple non-surgical procedure that you can do at home. You will need to see the dentist to have some trays made to fit your mouth, you will then require a second appointment to collect the trays, tooth whitening solutions and instructions. You then complete the procedure at home, which simply involves applying the gel to the trays and wearing for a short period of time.
How much whitening gel will I need to buy?
Initially the gel is supplied in a box with 4 syringes inside, for the whole mouth you will be provided with 2 boxes i.e.: 8 applications.
How many applications will I need?
This will depend on each individual person and the desired effect, further whitening gel can be obtained from the practice.
Will it whiten my teeth?
It has been proven to be effective on reversing the effects of ageing, coffee, tobacco and other stains. Tooth Whitening will only whiten your own natural teeth. It will not whiten any crowns, bridges, implants or dentures.
How long will it last?
This will again depend on the individual. For the best possible results you should try to avoid things which can cause staining, such as coffee, red wine and smoking.
Will I have to purchase new trays if I want to repeat the procedure at a later time?
No, as long as you look after the original trays that are provided, you will only need to buy the gel.
Are there any side effects from Tooth Whitening?
Some patients have mentioned slight sensitivity, but the dentist will explain this to you on your appointment.
How much will it cost?
This will depend on whether you are just wanting to whiten one tooth or the whole mouth. The dental surgeon will be able to give you an estimate for the treatment.
